The SPCM-AQRH-14 is a self-contained photon counting module that detects single photons over the wavelength range of 400 nm to 1064 nm. It utilizes a unique silicon avalanche photodiode (SLiK) with a circular active area of 180 µm, achieving a peak photon detection efficiency of 65% at 650 nm. The module features internal thermoelectric cooling and temperature control to ensure stabilized performance. It generates a TTL-level pulse (2.2V typical, 10ns width) for each detected photon and includes internal protection circuitry against accidental overload from ambient lighting.
