The multifunction calibrator provides precision electrical calibration for digital multimeters from 5 1/2 to 7 1/2 digits. It sources dc voltage to ±1100 V, ac voltage from 0.22 µV to 1100 V, resistance values to 100 MΩ, and dc current to ±2.2 A. AC current output spans 9 µA to 2.2 A from 10 Hz to 10 kHz, with optional amplification to 11 A using a compatible 5725A amplifier. The instrument supports IEEE-488 and RS-232 interfaces, selectable line voltages from 100 V to 240 V, and operation from 0 °C to 50 °C. Artifact calibration uses 10 V, 1 Ω, and 10 kΩ external standards to calibrate all ranges and functions.
