Integrated multiprotocol processor combines an M68000/MC68008-compatible core with communications and system-integration peripherals for embedded communications controllers. The device supports 20 MHz operation from a 5.0 V supply in a pin-grid-array package. Three full-duplex serial communications controllers support HDLC/SDLC, UART, BISYNC, DDCMP, transparent, and V.110 operation. On-chip resources include 1152 bytes of dual-port RAM, six serial DMA channels, one independent DMA channel, three timers, four chip-select outputs, and a DRAM refresh controller. The commercial-temperature order number is specified for 0 °C to 70 °C operation.
