The 8-bit HCS08 microcontroller operates at up to 20 MHz from 1.8 V to 3.6 V over -40 °C to 85 °C. It integrates 8 KB flash, 512 bytes RAM, a 12-bit eight-channel ADC, analog comparator, timer/PWM, modulo timer, real-time counter, SCI and keyboard interrupt functions. Clocking is provided by an internal clock source with FLL support and an external oscillator input for low-frequency or high-frequency crystal and resonator ranges. Low-power operation includes low-power run and wait modes plus stop modes with typical stop current down to 250 nA at 3 V and 25 °C. Package options include 28-pin SOIC, 24-pin QFN and 16-pin TSSOP.
