The USB-RS232-WE-5000-BT_5.0 is a USB to RS232 level serial UART converter cable incorporating FTDI’s FT232RQ USB to serial UART interface IC which handles all the USB signalling and protocols. The cable provides a fast, simple way to connect devices with an RS232 interface to USB. It contains a small internal electronic circuit board, utilizing the FT232R, which is encapsulated into the USB connector at one end of the cable. The other end of the cable is bare, tinned wire ended connections. The cable includes two LEDs to indicate data traffic and provides a +5V DC power output.
