The MPQ5069 is a hot-swap protection device designed to protect circuitry on its output from transients on its input and to protect its input from undesired shorts and transients from the output. It integrates a 7mΩ power MOSFET and features an adjustable current limit from 5A to 15A via an external resistor. The device includes a current monitor (IMON) that produces a voltage proportional to the output current, and provides fault protections such as thermal shutdown, under-voltage lockout (UVLO), and damaged-MOSFET detection. It is designed for automotive systems and is AEC-Q100 qualified.
