The Nordic Thingy:53 is a battery-powered IoT prototyping platform built around the nRF5340 dual-core wireless SoC. It features support for Bluetooth LE, Bluetooth mesh, Thread, Zigbee, Matter, and proprietary 2.4 GHz protocols. The device integrates environmental, motion, and light sensors, a MEMS microphone, and a buzzer. It is designed for embedded machine learning applications, supporting direct model execution on its dual Arm Cortex-M33 processors, and includes a rechargeable 1350 mAh Li-Po battery charged via USB-C.
