The A79042-001 is an 18-position dual-row male nano-miniature connector from Omnetics' Nano Strip series (nomenclature NPD-18-VV-GS). It features a 0.025 inch (0.64 mm) pitch and is designed for vertical surface mount (SMT) applications. The connector is equipped with the Omnetics Flex Pin contact system made of gold-plated beryllium copper for high reliability in extreme environments. It includes two guide post holes for alignment and is constructed with liquid crystal polymer (LCP) insulators. This component is widely used in aerospace, defense, and medical research applications, particularly in neural interfacing and headstage assemblies.
