The TDK InvenSense ICM‑42670‑P is a high‑performance 6‑axis inertial measurement unit that integrates a 3‑axis gyroscope and 3‑axis accelerometer in a 2.5 × 3 × 0.76 mm 14‑pin LGA package. It supports I3C, I2C, and SPI host interfaces, provides up to a 2.25 KB FIFO, and includes an on‑chip APEX motion processing engine for functions such as pedometer, tilt, low‑g, freefall, wake‑on‑motion, and significant motion detection. Selectable full‑scale ranges are ±250/±500/±1000/±2000 dps for the gyroscope and ±2/±4/±8/±16 g for the accelerometer. Typical low‑noise 6‑axis current is 0.55 mA, accelerometer low‑power current is 4.4 µA at 1.56 Hz, and sleep current is 3.5 µA. The device operates over 1.71–3.6 V for both VDD and VDDIO, features programmable digital filters and a digital temperature sensor, and is specified for −40 to +85 °C operation.
