Single-channel digital-to-analog converter provides 16-bit monotonic current and voltage outputs on a shared output terminal. The device supports current ranges including 0 mA to 20 mA, 4 mA to 20 mA, 0 mA to 24 mA, ±20 mA, ±24 mA, and −1 mA to +22 mA, as well as voltage ranges up to 0 V to 10 V and ±10 V with 20% overrange. A 4-wire SPI-compatible interface operates at clock rates up to 50 MHz and includes optional CRC and watchdog diagnostics. Integrated features include a 12-bit diagnostic ADC, on-chip reference, user programmable gain and offset, and HART signal coupling on the current output. The device operates over a −40°C to +115°C temperature range in a 32-lead 5 mm × 5 mm LFCSP package.
