Precision 8-bit voltage-output digital-to-analog converter integrates an output amplifier and double-buffered interface logic on a monolithic CMOS chip. The device operates from single or dual supplies and supports reference inputs from 2 V to VDD minus 4 V in dual-supply operation. Total unadjusted error is specified down to less than 1 LSB over temperature on higher-accuracy versions, and the output amplifier can develop 10 V across a 2 kΩ load. TTL and 5 V CMOS-compatible digital inputs support microprocessor interfacing with chip select, write, load DAC, and reset control lines.
