Low-power low-IF transceiver IC operates in license-free ISM bands at 433 MHz, 868 MHz, 915 MHz, and the proposed 950 MHz Japanese RFID band. The device supports FSK/GFSK data rates from 0.15 kbps to 200 kbps and ASK/OOK data rates from 0.15 kbps to 64 kbps. It operates from a 2.3 V to 3.6 V supply with programmable transmit output power up to +13 dBm. The receiver provides high sensitivity down to −119 dBm at 1 kbps FSK, with integrated fractional-N PLL, VCO, 7-bit ADC, temperature sensor, digital RSSI, and automatic frequency control. Industrial-temperature operation is specified from −40°C to +85°C in a 48-lead 7 mm × 7 mm LFCSP package with exposed pad.
