Low dropout CMOS linear regulator family operates from a 2.3 V to 5.5 V input supply and delivers up to 500 mA output current. Fixed-output versions cover 1.75 V to 3.3 V, and adjustable versions support 0.8 V to 5.0 V. The regulator provides 1% initial accuracy, 130 mV dropout at 500 mA, 45 µA quiescent current, and less than 1 µA shutdown current. It includes logic-controlled enable, current-limit protection, thermal overload protection, and operation with small 1.0 µF ceramic capacitors.
