A CMOS low-dropout linear regulator supplies a fixed 5 V output at up to 500 mA from a 3.3 V to 20 V input range. The regulator provides low 15 µV rms output noise, high power-supply rejection, reverse-current protection, foldback current limiting, and thermal overload protection. It supports a power-good output and programmable precision enable/undervoltage lockout for supply sequencing. The device is supplied in an 8-lead narrow-body SOIC package with an exposed pad and operates across a -40°C to +85°C ambient temperature range.
