Dual-channel digital thermometer monitors an on-chip sensor and a remote thermal diode for thermal management systems. The remote channel provides 0.25°C resolution and ±1°C accuracy over the specified high-accuracy range, while the local channel provides 1°C resolution. The device operates from a 3.0 V to 5.5 V supply and communicates over a 2-wire SMBus-compatible serial interface up to 400 kHz. Programmable overtemperature and undertemperature limits, ALERT, THERM, and optional second THERM outputs support system protection and fan control. The temperature measurement range is selectable between 0°C to 127°C and -55°C to 150°C, with automatic cancellation of up to 3 kΩ series resistance in the remote diode path.
