Dual-channel DC/DC LED controller drives two strings of high-current LEDs using fixed-frequency current-mode control. The controller supports 5 V to 60 V input operation and rail-to-rail LED current sensing from 0 V to 120 V. Internal exponential PWM dimming provides 128 precision dimming ratios, and external PWM dimming supports ratios up to 20000:1 at 100 Hz. The device provides constant-current and constant-voltage regulation with LED short and open protection in a side-solderable 28-lead 4 mm × 5 mm QFN package.
