The device supplies up to 100 mA of regulated output current from a 2.7 V to 4.5 V input without an inductor. A 3-bit DAC adjusts LED current by changing the feedback regulation voltage, and a 1.8 MHz switching frequency supports small ceramic capacitors. Protection features include soft-start, indefinite output short-circuit tolerance, overtemperature shutdown, and shutdown current below 1 µA.
