The LTM8056 is a 58Vin, 4A buck-boost µModule (micromodule) regulator. The package includes the switching controller, power switches, inductor and all support components. Operating over an input voltage range of 5V to 58V, the LTM8056 supports an output voltage range of 1.2V to 48V, set by a single resistor. The LTM8056 is a buck-boost converter, so its input voltage can be above, below or equal to the output voltage. Only the bulk input and output capacitors are needed to finish the design. The LTM8056 is packaged in a thermally enhanced, compact overmolded Ball Grid Array (BGA) package suitable for automated assembly by standard surface mount equipment.
