Peak-current-mode controller supports wide-input flyback regulator designs for universal offline AC-DC converters and telecom 36V to 72V power supplies. The controller includes an internal error amplifier with a 1% reference, a built-in gate driver for an external n-channel MOSFET, programmable soft-start, slope compensation, and input overvoltage protection. Switching frequency is programmable from 100kHz to 1MHz with optional synchronization and frequency dithering for spread-spectrum operation. The device operates from -40°C to +125°C and is supplied in a 16-pin 3mm by 3mm TQFN exposed-pad package.
