Secondary-side synchronous driver and controller supports isolated flyback converters operating in discontinuous or border conduction mode. The device accepts a 4.5 V to 36 V input supply and regulates a 7 V gate-drive rail for logic-level and standard synchronous rectifier MOSFETs. Peak gate-drive capability is 2 A source and 4 A sink with typical propagation delays below 40 ns. Programmable minimum off-time and turn-off trip point help manage transformer parasitic ringing. The 6-lead thin SOT-23 package operates over a -40 °C to +125 °C temperature range.
