Overview

The CN-0602 reference design provides a development platform for the ADMT4000 true power-on multiturn sensor in a TSSOP package. It addresses the potential corruption of the sensor's giant magneto resistance (GMR) spiral by incorporating a dedicated magnetic reset circuit. This circuit uses an LT3467 step-up DC/DC converter to boost a 5V supply to 29.3V, which charges a capacitor for discharge through an integrated planar PCB coil. This generates the 60 mT magnetic field required to reset the turn count sensor. The design includes an SPI interface for position data and configuration, modular GPIO termination options, and ground noise mitigation for high-current pulse events.
