Overview

This document outlines the hardware architecture of the Olimex ESP32-C6-DevKit-Lipo, an IoT development board centered on the Espressif ESP32-C6-MINI-1-N4 module. The design integrates a Texas Instruments TPS62A02ADRLR synchronous buck converter for 3.3V power regulation and a TP4054-42-SOT25-R lithium-polymer battery charger supporting up to 800mA charge current. Connectivity is handled through a USB-C interface and a WCH CH340X USB-to-UART bridge, which includes an auto-programming circuit using BC817-40 transistors. Additional hardware features include a battery voltage measurement circuit, a UEXT expansion connector, and user-configurable components such as a programmable LED and button.

Use Cases

  • Battery-powered IoT sensor nodes
  • Matter and Thread protocol development
  • Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth LE wireless prototyping
  • Low-power smart home automation devices
