Overview

This design document provides the circuit schematic for the Olimex ESP32-S2-DevKit-LiPo development board. It is based on the Espressif ESP32-S2-WROVER or ESP32-S2-WROOM modules. Key circuits include a LiPo battery charger using the Shanghai Belling BL4054B, a 3.3V LDO regulator via the Microchip MCP1700T, and a USB-to-UART interface powered by the WCH CH340T. The board incorporates a Worldsemi WS2812S RGB LED, USB-OTG support, battery voltage sensing, and dual 21-pin extension headers for peripheral access. It also includes auto-programming circuitry using DTR/RTS signals and features an ultra-low deep-sleep power consumption of 20µA.
