Overview

The IIS2MDC is an ultra-low-power 3-axis digital magnetic sensor from STMicroelectronics. It offers a magnetic field dynamic range of ±50 gauss with 16-bit data output. The device supports both SPI and I2C interfaces, including high-speed I2C up to 3.4 MHz. Integrated features include hard-iron compensation support, a programmable interrupt generator, an embedded self-test, and a temperature sensor. The sensor operates from a supply voltage of 1.71 V to 3.6 V and is designed for high-accuracy performance in an extended temperature range of -40 °C to +85 °C.
