Overview

This design document provides technical specifications and operational instructions for the EVAL_3888_1Vout engineering evaluation board. The board utilizes the Infineon IR3888 synchronous buck converter to deliver a 1.0 V output at up to 25 A from a 12 V input. The manual includes a complete bill of materials, circuit schematic, and six-layer PCB layout diagrams. Key features of the IR3888 addressed include programmable switching frequencies from 600 kHz to 2 MHz, internal digital soft-start, Power Good signaling, and thermally compensated overcurrent protection.
