Overview

The MAXREFDES1039 is a reference design for a dual-output synchronous buck converter featuring the Maxim Integrated MAX17559 peak-current-mode controller. The design operates from a 36V to 51V input voltage range and provides two independent outputs: 16V at 4A (64W) and 24V at 2A (48W). To reduce input capacitor size and voltage ripple, the outputs operate 180 degrees out of phase. The system achieves up to 95% efficiency and utilizes a 350kHz switching frequency.
