Overview

This document provides the circuit schematic for the SparkFun IM19 IMU Breakout board. The design centers on the Hillcrest Laboratories BNO080 9-axis System in Package (SiP), which incorporates a triaxial accelerometer, gyroscope, and magnetometer. The schematic details the integration of a Texas Instruments PCA9306 for I2C voltage level translation, a Diodes Incorporated AP2112K-3.3 low dropout regulator for power management, and Qwiic-compatible JST SM04B-SRSS-TB connectors. An Epson FC-135 crystal is utilized for the external 32.768kHz clock source.

Use Cases

  • Virtual reality (VR) head tracking
  • Augmented reality (AR) systems
  • Robotic motion and orientation sensing
  • Motion-based game controllers
  • I2C prototyping and development
