This reinforced isolated gate driver IC controls a mandatory safety isolation barrier in switched-mode power supplies. It provides two channels in a high-side and low-side half-bridge configuration with 5 A source and 9 A sink peak drive capability. The device supports a 3 V to 17 V input supply range, 1200 V voltage class operation, and reinforced galvanic isolation with up to 8000 Vpk input-to-output isolation. Fast timing includes 38 ns turn-on delay, 36 ns turn-off delay, and high common-mode transient immunity above 150 V/ns. It is qualified for industrial use and is offered in a 14-pin PG-DSO-14 package.
