The MERUS multilevel class D audio amplifier provides 2 x 40 W stereo output capability from a 4 V to 18 V power-stage supply. It uses a digital I2S audio input with I2C control and supports flexible output-stage configurations from four single-ended outputs to a parallel-BTL output. The device integrates protection against DC, short circuits, over-temperature, and under-voltage conditions. It is supplied in a 64-pin PG-VQFN package and operates over a 0 °C to 85 °C range.
