This hot-swap controller monitors and protects wide negative input power rails from -6.5 V to -80 V and tolerates transients to -100 V for 500 ms. It integrates 12-bit current and voltage ADCs, a gate driver for an external N-channel MOSFET, and a PMBus interface up to 1 MHz. Precision monitoring supports input and output voltage reporting to 0.5%, current reporting to 1.3% of full ADC range, and input power reporting to 1.8%. The device supports programmable overvoltage and undervoltage protection, active SOA protection, sequential turn-on, and external temperature sensing. It is specified for -40 °C to 125 °C junction operation in a 29-lead 6 mm x 6 mm VQFN package.
