The IS31FL3766 is a linear LED driver with 36 constant current channels, designed for driving 12 RGB LEDs or 36 mono LEDs. Each channel features independent 8-bit PWM control for 256 steps of dimming and 8-bit DC scaling for 256 steps of current adjustment. The device is programmed via a 1MHz I2C interface and includes a global current setting. It operates from a 2.7V to 5.5V supply and includes individual LED open and short detection with error reporting. Additional features include a 26kHz PWM frequency to avoid audible noise and a power-saving shutdown mode.
