This single transmitter/receiver bus transceiver supports RS-422 and RS-485 multidrop/multipoint data transmission at a minimum data rate of 20Mbps. Featuring differential signal types for both transmitter and receiver, this interface IC operates from a single 3.3V supply (3V to 3.6V range) with a maximum supply current of 0.95mA. The component is housed in an 8-pin SOIC N narrow body package with gull-wing leads, designed for surface mounting. It offers 1 transmitter and 1 receiver, capable of driving up to 256 devices per line in RS-485 mode. Operating temperature range is -40°C to 85°C.
