National Instruments PCI-6528, 48-Channel, 60 V Isolated Digital I/O Device
The National Instruments 778833-01 (PCI-6528) is an industrial, parallel digital I/O interface for PCI systems. It features 48 channels total, including 24 optically isolated sink/source inputs and 24 sink/source solid-state relay outputs. The device provides ±60 VDC channel-to-channel isolation, effectively breaking ground loops and protecting hardware from transient voltage spikes. Additional industrial features include programmable power-up states for safe actuator control, digital I/O watchdogs for fault recovery, and software-selectable digital filtering to eliminate input glitches and noise. It is commonly used in automotive testing, industrial automation, and machine control applications.
