
This programmable MEMS oscillator provides a factory-set output frequency from 1 Hz to 32.768 kHz in powers of two. It operates from 1.2 V to 3.63 V and draws 0.9 µA typical core current at 25°C and 1.8 V with no load. Frequency tolerance is 20 ppm at 25°C, and stability is specified to 75 ppm over -10°C to +70°C, 100 ppm over -40°C to +85°C, or 150 ppm over -55°C to +85°C at 1.5 V to 3.63 V. The output stage supports programmable swing, 48% to 52% duty cycle, 35 ns RMS period jitter, and startup time as low as 300 ms plus one period. It is offered in a 1.5 x 0.8 mm chip-scale package and eliminates the need for external load capacitors and, under normal operating conditions, a bypass capacitor.
