An Evaluation Module (EVM) designed for HDMI to FPD-Link III bridge serialization. It converts HDMI v1.4b compatible or HDMI-Mode DisplayPort (DP++) inputs to single or dual FPD-Link III outputs, supporting resolutions up to 2880 x 1080 at 60Hz or 3K (2880 x 1620) at 30Hz with a 24-bit color depth. Operating with a pixel clock frequency up to 210 MHz, the module extracts up to 8 channels of HDMI audio. Control interfaces include I2C (master/slave) with 1-Mbps fast-mode plus and SPI pass-through. It supports 50-Ω single-ended coaxial, 100-Ω differential Shielded Twisted-Pair (STP), and Shielded Twisted Quad (STQ) cables. The module operates on a 12 V supply, features AEC-Q100 qualification for automotive applications, and provides backward compatibility with DS90UB926Q-Q1, DS90UB928-Q1, and DS90UB924-Q1 devices.
