The LM3409-Q1 is an automotive-grade P-channel MOSFET (PFET) controller for step-down (buck) current regulators. It uses constant off-time (COFT) control to regulate an accurate constant current without the need for external control loop compensation. The device features a wide input voltage range from 6V to 42V, high-side differential current sensing, and support for up to 5A forward current. It includes a 10,000:1 PWM dimming range and a 250:1 analog dimming range, making it suitable for automotive lighting and general illumination applications.
