The LM3533 is a complete power source for backlight, keypad, and indicator LEDs in smartphone handsets. It features a high-voltage inductive boost converter to power two series LED strings (up to 40V) and an integrated charge pump to bias five low-voltage indicator LED current sinks. The device includes an ambient light sensor (ALS) interface with an internal 8-bit ADC and a PWM control input for content adjustable backlight control (CABC). It supports 14-bit equivalent exponential dimming and is fully programmable via an I2C-compatible interface.
