An adjustable output, low-noise, low-dropout (LDO) linear voltage regulator provides up to 800 mA from a 2.5V to 16V input supply. It delivers an adjustable output voltage from 1.0V to 5.5V with a typical output noise of 18 µVrms (10 Hz to 100 kHz) and a low dropout voltage of 475 mV at 800 mA. Designed for stability with low-ESR ceramic capacitors, the regulator features overtemperature and overcurrent protection. Further enhancements include an enable/shutdown pin with quiescent current below 10 µA, low ground pin current, and 35 dB PSRR at 100 kHz. Operating across a -40°C to +125°C junction temperature range, this surface-mount device is offered in an 8-Lead SO PowerPAD (DDA) package.
