The LP3943 is an integrated device capable of independently driving 16 LEDs with 25mA per channel. It features an internal precision oscillator, two prescaler registers, and two PWM registers for versatile duty-cycle control. Designed to reduce SMBUS/I2C bus traffic, it requires only initial setup of frequency and duty cycle for autonomous operation. Any ports not used for LED control can function as general-purpose I/O (GPIO) expanders.
