The LP3950 is a color LED driver featuring a built-in audio synchronization system suitable for analog audio inputs like polyphonic ring tones and MP3 music. It supports two synchronization modes: Amplitude and Frequency, and includes an unique Automatic Gain Control (AGC) feature to optimize input signal levels. The device integrates a high-efficiency magnetic DC/DC boost converter with programmable output voltage and switching frequency, capable of driving flash LEDs in camera applications. It is software controllable via SPI or I2C interfaces and supports light pattern generation for RGB LEDs including programmable color, intensity, and blinking cycles.
