The TLC5929 is a 16-channel constant-current sink LED driver. Each channel can be turned on or off by writing data to an internal register. A single external resistor sets the maximum current value of all 16 channels, while the global brightness control (BC) provides 128 steps of current adjustment. The device includes a power-save mode that reduces current consumption to 10 µA when all outputs are off and features full self-diagnosis including LED open/short detection and thermal shutdown.
