The TPS61163A is a dual-channel WLED driver designed for single-cell Li-ion battery-powered smartphone backlighting. It features a built-in high-efficiency boost regulator with an integrated 1.5A, 40V power MOSFET. The device supports two high current-matching current sinks capable of driving up to 10s2p WLED diodes with 1% typical accuracy. It utilizes an adaptive boost output to minimize voltage headroom and improve efficiency. Dimming is controlled via either a PWM interface or a one-wire digital EasyScale interface, supporting up to 9-bit resolution.
