The TPS61500 is a monolithic switching regulator with an integrated 3-A, 40-V power switch designed to drive high-brightness 1-W or 3-W LEDs. It supports a wide input voltage range from 2.9 V to 18 V and can drive up to eight 3-W LEDs from a 12-V input. The device features a 200-mV feedback voltage regulated by current mode PWM control and supports both analog and pure PWM dimming methods. Security features include pulse-by-pulse overcurrent limit, programmable overvoltage protection, and thermal shutdown.
