The TPS92075 is a hybrid power factor controller (PFC) with a built-in phase dimming decoder for LED lighting applications. It utilizes an internal digital controller to analyze line cycles for shape and symmetry, generating an analog current reference to regulate output current. Using constant off-time control, it achieves high efficiency and EMI reduction through emulated spread spectrum frequency variation. The device supports both leading and trailing edge dimmers and provides protections including overvoltage, feedback short-circuit, and thermal shutdown.
