Single-channel RS-232 transceiver supporting 1-Mbit/s data rates. Features +/-15-kV IEC ESD protection and operates from a 3-V to 5.5-V supply. This full-duplex interface IC includes one driver and one receiver, with a maximum output voltage of 13.2V and output current of 35mA. Packaged in a 16-TSSOP for surface mounting, it operates across a temperature range of -40°C to 85°C.
