A 16-bit fully differential SAR analog-to-digital converter provides up to 3 MSPS throughput from a single 2.5 V supply. The converter uses charge redistribution architecture with no pipeline delay and includes an internal conversion clock, internal reference and buffer, error correction circuitry, and serial and parallel interface ports. It supports wideband warp, warp, normal, and impulse operating modes with throughput options down to 1.25 MSPS. Operation is specified over the −40°C to +85°C temperature range, with typical 65 mW power dissipation at 3 MSPS.
