An 18-bit charge-redistribution SAR analog-to-digital converter supports programmable bipolar and unipolar input ranges. The converter provides 250 kSPS throughput for AD7631 operation, 18-bit resolution with no missing codes, 102.5 dB typical dynamic range, and 101 dB typical SNR. It includes an internal 5 V reference with a typical 7 ppm/°C drift, a TEMP output, and serial or parallel digital interfaces compatible with 3.3 V or 5 V logic. Operation is specified from -40 °C to +85 °C in Pb-free 48-lead LQFP and LFCSP packages.
