High efficiency synchronous step-down dc-to-dc regulator operates from a 4.5 V to 60 V input supply and provides a factory-programmed 5.0 V output. The regulator supports up to 50 mA continuous output current using pulse frequency modulation control with adjustable peak inductor current. Low power operation includes 12 µA typical sleep-mode quiescent current and less than 4 µA shutdown current. Protection and control features include undervoltage lockout, precision enable, programmable soft start, power-good output, 100% duty-cycle operation, and thermal shutdown. The device is supplied in a 3 mm × 3 mm 8-lead LFCSP package for −40°C to +125°C junction operation.
