Precision low dropout linear regulator provides a fixed 3.3 V output with load current capability above 200 mA. The regulator operates from a 3.2 V to 12 V input range and has a typical dropout voltage of 180 mV at 200 mA. Output accuracy is specified at ±0.8% at 25°C and ±1.4% over temperature, line, and load conditions. The device is stable with a 0.47 µF output capacitor and supports shutdown, dropout detection, short-circuit protection, and thermal overload protection. Thermally enhanced 8-lead SOIC packaging supports up to 1 W power dissipation without an external heatsink or large PCB copper area.
