Secondary-side synchronous MOSFET driver and controller is designed for isolated flyback converters operating in discontinuous or border-conduction mode. The device operates from a 4.5 V to 36 V input and provides a regulated 7 V gate-drive supply for logic-level or standard MOSFETs. Peak gate-drive currents are 2 A source and 4 A sink, supporting fast transitions with low-RDS(on) synchronous rectifier MOSFETs. Programmable minimum off-time and turn-off trip point support robust operation with transformer ringing. The device is supplied in a 6-lead thin SOT-23 package and is specified from -40 °C to +125 °C.
